Know Thyself!


We tend to blame others for things that happen in our lives that bring a not so pleasant feeling. I know I've been there several times. Kinda sounds like this:
"But you don't know what he/she did to me!"
"If it wasn't for him/her, I would be.....!"
So on and so forth. We must get to the growing stage in life where we understand and take responsibility for our lives. Anything that happens is either because we initiated it or we allowed someone or something to have their/its will in our lives. The life we live is based upon the decisions we make. So, let's be more conscious of our destiny that encompassed in our decision making.

The Child In You!


How do you raise your spirit when you are feeling down? Do whatever you need to do! I was going through a serious challenge with a friend and it really had me feeling sad because I wasn't able to contact him to resolve the matter. So, I wanted to change....I picked up a cord and used it as a jump rope. It brought back so many childhood memories. Jump rope was something my sisters, cousins and I couldn't wait to do, especially on Saturday's when our families would come together for "Just Because" celebrations.

So if you feel down and out, bring out the child in you and I guarantee you will feel better in no time.

If You Hate Your Job; Discover Your Passion and then Quit!


Do you love your job? If your answer is yes, that's wonderful. Then this means, you would do what you do even if there was no compensation? Right? If you answered no to the second question, that means you really don't love what you do. You may like it and it helps to make a means for you to live, but, I won't go any further with that. Where your heart is, there is also your treasure. Why? It gives you much joy and pleasure. You go out of your way to do or accomplished extra goals that may not be in your "job description". I know some people who literally HATE their jobs, but feel there in no way out because that is their means for livelihood. How sad. In this case I would say, find your passion, do the research and get whatever education you need in that area, while you are still working. Then began looking for work in that field, when you find it, and you will, leave as soon as you can. Nothing is worth doing if you hate it.

Get Rid of Head Busy-ness!


As I slowed down the pace of my life to discover my inner peace, I began to enjoy the sound of nature even more. It almost feel as if I'm entering into my child like moments again....listening to the crickets, different sounds of birds chirping at my window early in the morning when I rise and late at night when it's time for me to rest. I've been out of the 9 to 5 rat race for many years, but I still had the business going on in my head. The stress, worry, etc. about things in life that just didn't need that much attention of thought. I had to began to focus on the true essence of my being and detach from my body of affairs..all the things outside of me. I am who I am no matter what happens in life. That's the beauty of getting to know self. Then peace is inevitable....and I handle situations with ease.

The Atitude of Gratitude!



Holisticallyu is about every part of our being at peace. This all begins with our thoughts. That is the control center of how healthy we will be. First, let's get into the attitude of gratitude of that which we have right here and right now. If we are faithful over small things, then we can rule over the bigger blessings that come into our lives. It is the little things that are not little at all, we take for granted, like: breath, heartbeat, blinking of eyes and movement of our limbs without us even giving it a thought. That's where we should begin when it comes to being grateful.

The Atmosphere of Peace!


Peace is a part of our inner being. It has no connection with our body of affairs. Therefore, we are fulfilled in knowing that we are wonderful no matter the circumstances that take place in our lives. Have you ever noticed that when you don't make a "BIG" fuss about challenges that arise in your life, you are able to come to a solution quickly? I know it works for me every time. This is perfect even at your place of employment. Creating an atmosphere of peace will allow you to get more accomplished with ease. You may have to take a few minutes before you leave work to clean your office or work area. When you return, everything is in a particular order where you can go right to what you need and get started immediately. You will be more productive and flow in peace during the course of the day, even if the unexpected happens. Why? You have everything in order. Order brings peace.

A New Me in Progress!


Well, this is a continuation to my previous blog, "A New You"! I mentioned I was tired of the same-o, same-o. So, I decided to put my business out there. I started my first day of consecration by eliminating bread from my eating regimen. Yesterday, anything that consisted of white flour products had to go. The bread was easy, but cakes, cookies, pasta, etc....a little more challenging. Today, Thursday, my third day, I turned my plate down completely. I'm drinking water with Raw Apple Cider Vinegar to help detox my system. It's all good for me though, I desire to continue to walk in divine health (being free from prescription drugs since 1994-the year my son was born). I am in charge of my own health and take total responsibility. My work-out regimen include 4 days a week for at least 1/2 hour. I don't do gyms, so I go online for free workouts. Dance is something I love, so that's included in my workout. Anytime I do extensive cleaning in my front or back yard, I consider it a workout because it is just that.

A New You!


What does it mean to say "Happy New Year" or "Happy Birthday"? Is a "New You" coming on the scene for everyone to see?

I know for me, I'm tired of a "New Year" with the same things going on-NO CHANGE! Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting differnt results. If we desire change, we are going to have to recreate new habits to promote it. This is where discipline comes in.

The secret to our future is hidden in our daily routine. So whatever we see in our lives today that we don't like in whatever area, we must go back to the routine we incorporated that brought it on the scene. Make a new and good routine to replace the bad routine and be as consistant as we were before. Now we have a constant steady effort to achieve something successful. We have been successful in the wrong things-NOW let's flip the script and make it right for a NEW YOU for real this time.

Forgiveness-The Doorway to.......


I will run out of fingers and toes if I used them to count how many times someone has done something to hurt me. Some people say, "hurt is hurt" I disagree!. There are levels of intensity when it comes to being hurt. Have you ever "REALLY" been in love with someone who, broke your heart. I mean you have given your all to make the relationship work & not that anything, well maybe in your mind was wrong, but he/she cheated, abused you physically/emotionally, ___________, ______________, etc. I left just a little space for you to fill in. You could have been betrayed by a close family member or friend. This list just goes on and on and on; it goes back years and years and years of issues that have taken place in our lives to break our spirit, heart, motivation, depressed us and/or even nearly taken our lives, but if you are able to read this, the Miracle is........................YOU AND I ARE STILL HERE!

The problem however, is we will never experience the fullness of what life has to offer until we forgive every single person who hurt us, and many deliberately! From the time we can remember the first person who's ever hurt us...we must let go! Don't say, "I'll forgive, but not forget. That's not true forgiveness, but be able to stand face to face with your accuser, hug them, shake their hand or even say a kind word without having thoughts of retaliation.

Holding grudges/bitterness creates an inner cancer that eats away at your emotions and eventually takes you out of here. While the person who has hurt you, forgot all about it and has moved on with there life. Let it go, not for them, but for you. Then and only then can you enter into an abundance of Joy, Peace and Freedom because now nothing or no one has a hold on you.

Yes, forgiveness is the doorway to joy, peace, health, wealth, opportunity to obtain better than you've had before and so much more!

Save Yourself the Heartbreak

It's hard to heal after having your heart broken. Many times it happens because we hear what we want to hear. If we just listen more,when meeting people, they will tell us everything we need to know before the decision is made to date. If their goals aren't equivalent to ours, don't waste time looking to make it work just because he/she seems like a nice person. Although the process of getting to know each other takes time, it's easy to pick up on any warning signals vs. words he/she speak. Don't test it out, we can save ourselves from the heartache or heartbreak by walking away.

Health is Something you Do!


If you watch TV, you'll surely stumble across a commercial advertising over-the counter drugs for ailments you or someone you know may be experiencing. Not to mention hospital and Dr.'s offices being filled with people who are sick. This proves that health is not something you have, but something you do......and it all begins with proper nutrition that consists of raw organic fruits and vegetables, grain and nuts, the proper vitamins, trace mineral herbs. Oh, I must add WATER, WATER, WATER. Not just any water-----alkaline water. The saying, "You are what you eat is absolutely right". Eating certain foods/junk food is a habit. So I can say that the secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine. Eat that which contains life and you will obtain and abundant healthy body. Eat packaged, canned or that which contains no life and you will obtain a degenerative disease in the body.

Spring Cleaning isn't just for your home, but all your affairs in life. Get rid of things and people that aren't beneficial for your improvement and advancement. It's great to begin first to change your world before you attempt to change other people. Start by eliminating negative thoughts and memories of the past. The past is just that, "past" which means dead. It's only a reference point that one uses to bring back up to the present moment. Would you go to the grave yard and dig up a relative who has past away? NO! Of course you wouldn't. Why? You think that's crazy. Well so are the negative thoughts and memories. I think this is a good start.

Get Rid of the Clutter!

Getting rid of clutter isn't just cleaning your home or apartment. How about getting rid of everything or person in your life that serves no positive purpose or benefit. Those who you give, but are like leaches that will suck you dry of your advice, time, money if they can, etc. To top it off, these people still go and do the same things that caused pain and trouble in their lives making your advice worthless to them.

Maybe you need to get rid of the clutter in your head; negative thoughts about yourself. Replace them with positive thoughts. Stop worrying so much. If there are things in life you can change for the better, do so. If there are things you are not able to change, just have peace about it, there's nothing you can do.

Living life at peace is appreciation for those things that matter the most, like breath, health and strength, family and friends, shelter, food and clothes, and a job or finances that help us take care the basics in life. All the extra stuff is just extra and that's wonderful to have a surplus, but the things we call "little" are "big" things we should be grateful for.

SPRING CLEANSING FOR A NEW YOU!


Yes, this is the time when we can say "SPRING IS IN THE AIR". The accumulation of snow we've had in the New Jersey area has taken a toll on many people. It's beautiful when it falls, but then comes the grime of it.....the streets began to seem very unclean. That's the part I hate. Thanks to the sun, which has done some miraculous work in getting rid of about "waist deep snow" caused by the few snow storms we've had back to back in January.

Now getting to the point of SPRING CLEANSING FOR A NEW YOU! Because many people stay in more during the winter months, they do eat all kinds of junk, gaining weight in areas they shouldn't. But when the weather breaks, people want to get out more and be seen. Who wants to be seen carrying extra pounds accumulated from the winter? NO ONE! So, let's start now to cut back, by cleansing the body of those foods that caused you to gain weight or feel sluggish like:

Breads, pasta, cheeses, donuts, cakes, pies, pizza, FAST FOODS, SWEETS, SWEETS, SWEETS, CHIPS, CHIPS, CHIPS, french fries, etc.........

Begin to increase your intake of vegetables with salads (not from a fast food restaurant), at least three times a day. Drink at least 1/2 gallon of alkaline water daily to flush out the toxins. Have a fruit salad for breakfast. Save melons for the summer. Begin an exercise program at least 3x's per week.

Just these minor changes will help prepare you for a Better You! And everyone will notice how great you look!

Love Me Enough to Change!


The beauty of being intune with me is giving myself a constant check-up from the neck up. In times past I'm been guilty of judging others and not taking account for the flaws in my life. Then I've reached the point of disappointment with many areas in my life. The conclusion was: I needed to look into my inner mirror to see the reflection of blemishes in my life that came to me through other people I judged. For truly, they were my reflection I refused to see. So, I decided to analyze what I really didn't like about me that I pointed out in others and began making changes. As I made the changes in me, others were drawn by this new magnetism with the desire to do the same.

In life everyone who exists here on this earth has one thing in common, "OBSTACLES/ PROBLEMS/ CHALLENGES". This is the one tread that keeps "human race" interwoven together like a quilt. But we must not allow ourselves to become stressed out; thus being robbed us living a life filled of purpose. We are not our situations, our challenges, our problems, although we, most of the time, are the cause of them.

Once we come to the awareness that we are our own cause for problems/challenges in our lives, whether we were at fault or have allowed someone else to be the "villain", so to speak, then the solution is "right around the corner". The wonderful news is when an obstacle comes, hidden in it is the opportunity or advancement. The problem we can turn into a profitable project, so on and so forth. This can only happen if we take a moment to step out of the mess, look at it and began to clean it up with change.

Your Health is Your Wealth!


"Your Health is Your Wealth"! What does this mean? Well, when our health is at its best, our performance at work or when conducting business with clients are at its peak. People take sick days off, when they're not feeling their best, thus there is no productivity for the day(s) of absence.

This goes to say that we should be more health conscious: eating foods (raw vegetables and fruits) that provide our body with the proper nutrients to give us the energy to perform at an optimum level. Water is essential. Drinking at least 8 8oz. glasses of alkaline water daily helps keep the proper flow of the organs and systems in the body. Exercising at least 4 days per week is of utmost importance to our health.

If we balance nutrition, water and exercise in our life, we will have more energy for work, our creativity will be heighten and thinking will be sharp. We will be able to finish projects in less time and quality time with our family will increase. Also, stressful situations will seem easier to handle. Yes, your Health is Your Wealth!

Eat Til Your Heart Is Content!


Healthy eating involves eating 5 to 6 small meals daily. It's eating just like babies, every 3 hours on an average. When you eat in this manner, you will find yourself ready to eat when the time comes again. Why? You haven't overeaten and the body is able to properly digest what you ate previously in a timely manner, thus ready for more within the next 3 hours. Your heart is content because it's not being overworked in conjunction with other organs and systems of the body.

If you're not used to this, begin by shrinking your plate to a smaller size. This way only smaller portions will fit. Take your large plate meal and split it into two meals. Start early in the morning with a fruit, fruit salad or fruit smoothie protein drink. Make sure you drink at least 8 glasses of alkaline water between meals, not with meals. This will help decrease your appetite to overeat.

Eating in this manner will not only make your heart content, but your wallet. You will save money on groceries.

Don't Be A "Doormat"!


Love yourself enough to say "NO" and be at peace. Just because people see you in the light of standing on morals, values and honoring family and friends doesn't mean you are to take anything that comes your way. That is so far from the truth. Some people in your life must be tested to see if they deserve your friendship, time, help etc. and those "weeds", the people that are only in your life to take and drain you, are those that must be cut off for good.

Well, my short story is of someone who I befriended and throughout the year I would give and give and give, but he never seemed to be a benefit to my life at all. When I began to notice this pattern, I would ask for help at times, just for little things, but he never came through for me. There was always an excuse.

My final straw was when he called me recently and left an urgent message to call him. So, I did in a haste to find out that he wanted to borrow money from me because he was in a financial dilemma, again! I thought to myself, he didn't pay me back the last time. And of course, at this point, I made up my mind to dismiss him completely from my life.

Living holistically is having people in your life that you can build a sound relationship with knowing that you will be there for each other no matter what happens. It's not a one way street. It's about giving and receiving. You don't have to be a "doormat"!

Do It Just Because and watch.......


Do it just because you want to. You may ask, "Do what?" Whatever you can to help make life easier for someone else. Trust me, life for you will began to be more fulfilling, especially when you are in need. Why? Someone will be sent your way to help you. It the law of reciprocity..and yes, it works. Read one of my experiences below.


In NJ we were faced with our second snow "storm". Well I wouldn't call this one a storm compared to the first one where I had to shovel four times and only once this time. I began about 5am this morning. Finished early. Came in and made breakfast. As I sat and looked at the time, it was 8am, so I was going began work from home, but something within stopped me. I was persuaded to check out my Pastor's house because last time, the people he hired didn't reach him til late and he has a family.
So I went over there, and my work 'REALLY" began because he has a corner house. I made my way around the coner to do the side of the house and it was double the amount of snow because the snow plow had already passed by dumping street snow on the side walk. Well as I was approaching the back gate I stopped, took a deep breath and looked up. When I looked back down, their was a man standing at the other end shoveling. He said, "I'll meet you. Not even 2 minutes later he told me to stop that help was on the way. Another man came with his snow blower and finished so I could get into the backyard.

As I was in the back yard, I heard more voices. A pleasant soft voice said, "Good morning." An older woman and her daughter finished shoveling the driveway to make it clear for the cars to come in and out. I wanted to do something for her. She said, "No, just have a blessed day." I was so overwhelmed.

My point is, I did this deed just because and watched how angels were sent to help me. Their help saved me about 1 1/2 hrs. of work..I am grateful.
Do something wonderful for someone....DO IT JUST BECAUSE AND WATCH.....

Rest from Holiday Feast!


During the holidays, people tend to overeat or eat certain foods they don't eat on the norm. It's more junk food, sweets, extra meat, more cheese, etc. These same people either get stuck in a habit of having more of these foods, or experience ailments due to "feasting/pigging out".

Your body must eliminate the build up of what you put in your mouth that doesn't benefit. All you have to do is eliminate that food from your "diet" for 21 days and the desire to have it will diminish. In your process of eliminating, add something healthy along with an increase of alkaline water daily.

Don't go overboard, just start with one at a time. You will notice your energy began to increase as the bad habit or ailment began to decrease.
